Junior Camp: The Golf Matrix Way

Quality play for a lifetime begins by learning the fundamentals

In this program, Mike and Mark provide young golfers with a fun opportunity to develop their skills.

The Golf Matrix Way means that we teach juniors individually by:

  • Using a hands-on approach. Lecturing to a group of juniors, expecting that they will comprehend and be able to implement what was explained, is simply not effective.
  • Giving juniors practice assignments that fit their experience, need and ability.
  • Providing feedback on that practice assignment until those skills are sufficiently improved.
  • Keeping a file on each junior to keep the message they hear focused and consistent.

In the full swing, the short game and in putting, this program provides:
  • Personalized instruction
  • Practice with feedback
  • Practice with games/competition
  • Team games/competitions

Groups are divided first by age and possibly again by skill level during the course of the camp.  Lunch and refreshments are provided for each participant. We take a 30 minute group lunch break and plenty of individual drink breaks.

We have a school teacher on staff to assist in our camps to ensure that our environment is one that facilitates fun and learning for all of our campers. This places our golf instructors in an optimal position to help juniors progress as efficiently and effectively as possible.
